Conversational Classes with Amey

These classes are held at the French With Amey center in downtown Springfield. Build your speaking and oral comprehension skills through games, songs, conversations and listening activities focused on common grammar and vocabulary. La Culture Française

Tuesdays June 27–Aug 1  3-5 pm $79 Speaking, listening comprehension, vocab, videos and discussions about French culture. Participants should have some familiarity with the language. Course packet provided. Through LCC downtown center. No class July 4 or 18; class will be extended to August 8. 

French for Fun!

Thursdays  July 6–Aug 3    3-5 pm    $79 A great introduction to French language and culture. You’ll learn some common French phrases and words used in food, art, music, travel, antiques, fashion and more! Suitable for all ages. Course packet provided. Through LCC downtown center.

Brush Up Your French

Wednesdays   July 5–Aug 2 1-3 pm $79 Refine your basic French skills of important structures: basic regular and irregular verbs, passé composé, imparfait, prepositions and articles. Speaking, listening comprehension, songs, videos and games. Get ready for next term, an upcoming trip or conversations! Course packet provided. Through LCC downtown center.

Where is the French With Amey Center ? 

In the Island Park Office complex in downtown Springfield, between A & B streets off Mill. The official address is for all buildings within the complex (175 W. B St.). See more specific directions below. Look for the French flag signs to guide you to the center, next to Options Counseling. The bus station is just 4 blocks away, with easy access to the full LTD and EMX networks. Easy access to bike paths through Alton Baker park. From Franklin Boulevard: Take Franklin Boulevard to Springfield, then turn left immediately after you cross the river, onto Mill St. Go one block, then turn left into the parking lot (also marked A St.). Look for Walton Chiropractic on the left.) From I-126: Take the Springfield City Center/Pioneer Parkway exit, then go south on Pioneer Parkway. (South is a right turn if you are coming from Eugene.) Turn right on A St., cross Mill, and you're directly in the parking lot.
